This past Saturday we picked up our first Bountiful Baskets order. Although we stood outside in the chilly wind and a little bit of rain, for almost 2 hours, I am pleased with the amount of produce that we received for $42. There are a few items that I am not familiar with, such as the Jicama and the Oroblanco. There are also a few items that will be new to our menu plans for trying, like Kale & Asparagus (apparently Sissy likes fried asparagus...I had no idea!).
My menu plan for this week will include lots of NEW foods & recipes! I will be posting the recipes starting next week.
So, here it is ... our menu plan for the week.
Sunday is always "Yo-Yo" night...."You're on Your Own". Every one usually just eats any leftovers or lunch meat sandwiches. Or, most of the time, Sissy throws something together for every one...last night she made Chicken tenderloins, Ore-Ida Simply Fries, left over broccoli & rice, and fried asparagus.
