The FarFaria app is for children ages 2-9 years, providing unlimited reading from a library of hundreds of children's books. It has been called the "Netflix for Children's Books" by USA Today.
FarFaria has 800+ colorful children's books, with 5 new books added each week, to help your child develop a love for reading. Each book is labeled with the new FAZ Reading Level feature to make finding the right reading level for your child easier. *Note: this new feature is a Common Core-aligned Reading Level system.
We used the app with Everett, who is 4 years old. The first time I let Everett have a turn on the app, he sat "reading" for at least 20 minutes. The stories in the preschool area were short and kept his attention with very colorful pictures.
There are a few useful features of the app, first is the "Read-to-Me" feature. This made it possible for Everett to use the app on his own when I was unable to read to him. And second, being able to read some of our "favorite" books while being offline. Everett was able to enjoy some of his favorite books while in the car or other places that we didn't wifi access available.
FarFaria has several story topics to choose from, like Bedtime stories, fairy tales, sing alongs, classics, and more!
Everett enjoyed scrolling through all of the book cover images to find a book, he loved looking for books that had trucks, cars, planes, tractors....well basically any vehicle type....on the "cover".
Overall, we were pleased with our 3-month subscription and enjoyed many books in that time.
