We moved....I think, I told you that all ready....
In my last post I said to stay tuned for some fun upcoming posts about all of the exciting changes that come with moving....well, honestly it has been a little less of the "fun" type of exciting and a little more of the hectic-pull-your-hair-out type of exciting around here.
About a week after moving in to the new house our washer decided to flood the basement. We had not quite unpacked all of our school stuff yet....we lost a couple dozen books & of course, the washer.
In the last 4 weeks we have had some nasty germs floating around in this house. My husband, Joe, battled the head & chest flu-turned in to pneumonia-turned in to the stomach flu for about 3 weeks. In those 3 weeks parts of the head & chest virus and the stomach virus made its way through each of the kids and myself. Thankfully, none of us were as sick as my husband, but it seemed as if just when I thought we were all getting well...bam...someone was puking or coughing or both!
On a day that things seemed to be mostly normal, I decided to take our 7 year old son, Eli, on a field trip-some "Mom
This past week we finally made it to some resemblance of "normal" around here and have actually been able to accomplish some school work every day! We still have several boxes in the basement that need to be unpacked, but most areas around the house have been arranged & organized (except, of course my bedroom) in a mostly functional way.
We don't have any major plans this weekend, so I am hoping to get a few of those boxes unpacked and maybe even some painting done in the family room!!!
I really am working on a few other posts that I hope & pray I will be able to finish before the end of February. Right now though, it is almost 4:30 in the morning, so I think I will try to get some sleep now....insomnia...ugh!!
God Bless,
Jenny
