Today I am going to share something that I think just might be one of
the finest resources for homeschoolers that I have come across in our 8 years
of homeschooling, Schoolhouse Teachers.
Schoolhouse Teachers, courtesy of The Old Schoolhouse Magazine, is a great
resource that could be used as your entire homeschool curriculum or as a supplement
to your current curriculum.
This website offers teaching videos, lesson plans, worksheets, lapbooks, unit studies and so much more for all ages from pre-k through high school plus some great resources for parents too.

Normally I am all about FREE resources for homeschooling but as many
of us find out in our homeschooling journeys there are some things that we don’t
mind paying for! Schoolhouse Teachers is definitely one of those things....for just $1 you can start your first month of membership with
Schoolhouse Teachers. Then for each month
afterwards it is just $5.95 (or $64.26 for the year-which is a slight discount from
the monthly fee).

The site is extremely easy to navigate because it is organized by
grade level and subject. Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to browse through all of
the
different sections though, trust me......you will be there for awhile!
One of my favorite sections is actually more for mom (parents)…The “This Month’s Menu” section has an amazing selection of recipes for each month-from snacks to dinner ideas! What a terrific help this will be for me as I prepare our family meal plans each month...not to mention how handy this will be to have for teaching my oldest students about cooking and meal planning.

Right now in my homeschool planning I am incorporating some of the lessons
from the Everday Explorers U.S.A. section(downloadable lesson plans & activities for exploring the U.S.A.) to go along with our Geo-Boxes from our
Homeschool Swapping Adventures. I do
have one tiny complaint….searching for the lessons for the State that we will
be studying was a little time-consuming because I had to click through ALL of
the lessons to find the State that we need.

I am very excited to use Schoolhouse Teachers for our homeschooling
needs throughout the remainder of our current year and can honestly say that
